Wi-Fi Hotspots
Grossmont College offers a limited number of Wi-Fi hotspots to support distance learning. Students may check them out from the Library for home use. Continue reading to discover more about Wi-Fi hotspots.
What does a hotspot do?
These devices work off of a cellular signal to provide a mobile Wi-Fi Internet access point for your devices. The quality/speed of the Wi-Fi Internet connection depends upon the cellular reception in your area.
Who may use a hotspot?
Hotspots are made available to students, on a first come, first served basis. You may check out a Hotspot by visiting the Library's Circulation Desk on the 1st Floor. Service is active through the end of your registered term/semester.
How do I get help?

*Note: Hotspot service is provided by T-Mobile -- quality is dependent upon reception in your area. If you are experience poor Internet quality, please relocate to another area.
You may contact the Library Circulation Desk for all other issues. If your Hotspot becomes damaged or inoperable, please report it right away.
Where do I pickup my hotspot?
The Library Circulation Desk is located in building 70, room 154. That is the 1st floor of Library, towards the northern entrance doors. You may call the Library Circulation Desk ahead of your visit, or email the library at grossmont.libcirc@gcccd.edu.
*Note: For faculty and staff, we have very limited devices to lend for a loan period of 24-hours. Contact Library Circulation (above) to make arrangements.
