Adobe Software
Acrobat, Illustrator, Photoshop, and other Adobe programs are licensed on a subscription basis known as the Adobe Creative Cloud (CC) suite. Read on to learn more about using Adobe CC.
Can I use the Adobe CC software?
Similar to Microsoft 365, the answer depends on how the program is licensed.
Using Adobe CC
Adobe apps usage differs depending upon if you are on or off campus.
- Adobe CC is installed on almost all classroom, lab, library, and office computers
- Students, staff, or faculty members may use Adobe CC on campus machines by launching an Adobe app. Log in with your GCCCD email credentials
- If you are prompted to Select a profile to sign in, select the appropriate site: Cuyamaca College or Grossmont College:
- GCCCD does not provide licenses to Adobe CC for students that are off campus
- Faculty or Staff should inquire with their Dean or Department Chair as to the status of their licensing
- Home users may wish to avail themselves of the free Adobe Express apps (below), or purchase a discounted Creative Cloud license from the CollegeBuys website (or their preferred retailer)
Free Adobe Express Apps
Adobe Express is a cloud-based graphic design package that can be accessed from home or campus at express.adobe.com. You will need to sign in with a personal account (Google, Facebook, or Apple), or signup for a free Adobe ID to use the product.
*Note: You will utilize a person account - GCCCD offers no support for Adobe Express and you should not use your campus email.
