We live in an exciting time in history where the benefits of physical activity and
healthy eating can positively affect the rest of our lives! Our degrees, certificates
and courses are designed to produce physically literate individuals - to feel confident,
competent, and motivated to do a wide range of physical activities.
Choosing to study exercise science (also referred to as kinesiology) gives you opportunities
to explore a wide range of careers and specialty areas that use science to help improve
people’s lives through movement. Our faculty are passionate about their craft and
strive to help you succeed in this field!
Duration
The Exercise Science and Wellness Department offers an Associate of Arts degree for
Transfer (AAT) in Kinesiology, and an Associate of Science (AS) degree in Exercise
Science. Both can be completed in four semesters as a full-time student. We also offer
and a Fitness Specialist Certificate that can be completed in two semesters
