-- ACE Discontinuation --
Since 1992, Grossmont College has provided English instruction to over a thousand students through the ACE Program. ACE helped students meet language proficiency requirements and pursue an education at Grossmont College. We regret that ACE will close at the end of the current Spring Session (June 2025). Below are two options you might consider instead of ACE.
You can receive English support and improve your English skills by taking Grossmont College ESL (English as a Second Language) classes from intermediate to advanced levels. A college ESL class is 6 units and is recommended for all ESL students.
Per F1 visa rules, college students will enroll full-time (minimum 12 units per semester).
In addition to an ESL class, you will choose 6 more units (usually 2 or 3 classes).
During orientation, an international counselor will assist you to choose your classes.
Students must pass an English proficiency test for Grossmont College admission:
For more information about the tests, other required documents, and the online international application to Grossmont College, contact Yumiko Hudson and Mika Miller at grossmont.international@gcccd.edu and visit www.grossmont.edu/future-international-students
International students at Grossmont College are highly valued. We appreciate your courage and commitment to your educational goals. We look forward to providing you an excellent study abroad experience.
