Are you interested in seeing what Grossmont College art students have been making
from home?
At the end of each semester, our students have the opportunity to exhibit their work
in the Hyde Art Gallery. Despite moving to remote operations last spring, we will
continue utilizing a digital exhibition format in order to protect your health while
celebrating the creative efforts of our talented artists. From the comfort of your
own home you will be able to view the most exciting and innovative art and design
projects that Grossmont College students have produced this semester.
Starting November 16 through the remainder of the semester, the Hyde Art Gallery website
will host HOME•MADE, our Fall 2020 Remote Student Art Showcase. Student artwork will
also be highlighted on the gallery’s social media feeds. The Visual Arts and Humanities
Department will continue our tradition of distributing awards-of-merit to exceptional
students across all disciplines and award recipients will be notified by email.
Grossmont’s new Visual and Performing Arts Center which houses the new Hyde Art Gallery is almost ready. We cannot wait to share this new space and all of our future exhibition and events with you when it is safe to do so. In the meantime, we hope all of our gallery patrons and the entire Grossmont College community remain safe and stay healthy.
