As an El Cajon native, Grossmont College has been an important part of my family's history. My first memories of this beautiful campus revolved around piling into the back seat of my family's sole vehicle--a '69 lime-green Ford Torino. My sister, mom, and I would pick up my dad from night-school, which he attended while working 50 hours a week to support our family. He would go on to earn his A.A. from Grossmont College, as would my sister. Even though I was attending San Diego State University full-time after graduating from Granite Hills High School, my sister and I took music and tennis classes together here at Grossmont where she and many of my friends attended full-time. I earned my B.A. in English and my M.A. in British Literature from San Diego State University. Most recently, I earned my Postsecondary Reading and Learning Certificate from CSU Fullerton. After teaching as an adjunct at multiple campuses since 2008, I was thrilled to accept a full-time teaching job here at Grossmont College in 2016. It seems that all my endeavors and hard work brought me round full-circle to a place I'm excited to call home for the rest of my career. To view my Curriculum Vitae, please click here.
